A stalled legacy PHP project rescued and brought to MVP as a public booking, cleaner-bidding, recurring-service, and cleaning-management platform.

About this project
My team and I inherited iRestify as a half-finished, non-functional project that had been left by another development team. The application was built on an older PHP framework and required both technical recovery and a clearer understanding of what the client actually needed the product to do.
We worked directly with the client to discuss the business model, users, workflows, and practical requirements. From there, we stabilized the inherited codebase, completed the essential functionality, brought the application to minimum viable product state, and deployed it publicly.
The resulting platform connected property owners and managers with cleaning providers while supporting appointment booking, cleaner bidding, and ongoing cleaning-management workflows.

Taking over a stalled legacy project
The existing application was incomplete and not functional enough to launch. Because it had been developed by another team on an old PHP framework, the work was not simply a matter of adding a few missing features. We first had to understand the inherited architecture, identify what could be retained, and determine what needed to be repaired or completed.
Equally important, we spent time with the client to clarify the actual business requirements. That discovery work helped turn a collection of unfinished screens and features into a coherent product plan focused on the workflows required for an MVP.

Booking, bidding, and cleaning management
The public platform allowed customers to book either a single cleaning appointment or a recurring cleaning schedule. This gave property owners and managers a practical way to arrange service based on their ongoing operational needs.
Cleaning providers within the system could participate in a bidding process for available work. The application also supported the management of cleaning appointments and related service activity after a booking was created.
Together, these components turned the application into more than a simple lead form: it became a working marketplace and operations platform for coordinating customers, cleaners, bids, schedules, and cleaning services.

From MVP launch to continued product growth
After the MVP was launched publicly, my team and I continued working with the company to improve the product, refine existing workflows, and add functionality based on real operating experience.
The working platform and continued product development helped the startup reach an important growth stage and secure its first $1 million in investment.
